WORLD MAP - This is the latest version of a map of 16 year-old Jessica Watson's international fan club. Jessica is currently circumnavigating the world in the yacht, Ella's Pink Lady, solo and unassisted. The map is a tribute to the inspiration she provides to so many people in so many countries and to the staunch goodwill and support she receives in return from her faithful friends. The Australian numbers are only a Jess-timate and probably also include some bloggers from other countries who have not identified their location.

    Hi Mike,
Congrats on your new Blog, I hope it goes well for you. I enjoyed the work you did on the follower statistics. What is your objective, will you continue to follow Jessica, or will you cover other sailors?

  6. @hezakiah299 - Thanks Michael.

I think I'll stick to Jess for the moment and see what the reaction is since a lot of time is involved. I have enjoyed her blog so much I just wanted to do something to show my appreciation and mapping/geographic analysis was my occupation for 40 years before I retired. I'm now in the over 70's group like you.

@ Ros, Jungle and sails - thanks for the kind words - I hope the final version will be a good deal better.

    cheers
    Mike

  12. How's things Mike?

This map is really well put together, Jesse would be fascinated with this info.

It would be really interesting to see the stats now, a few months later.
